You might be thinking “Is this really necessary?”, but making friends can actually have a lot of benefits for university students. From having someone to help out with coursework or study sessions, people to hang out with on days when you just want to avoid your housemates, or people who will tell you when something is wrong because they care about what happens to YOU.

Join societies that interest you or take part in activities on campus and get involved with student life outside of lectures -because there are plenty of things going on all the time.
